Saphire Gem

Saphire Gems are a new breed top the chicken world. They are a hybrid that is know to lay nearly 300 brown eggs a year. Sapphire Gems are know to be calm, docile, and cold hardy. A great Addition to beginners. 

They have a blue to lavender plumage, with some having darker edging on their feathers, and a bright red comb and wattle. Rooster are generally light with pronounced coloring. 

This breed is welladjusted to smaller enclosed areas but also thrive in free range. They would make a great addition to any flock!
